I'm well adapted to eating as clean as possible & have been tolerating the slight hunger pangs I get during breakfast time.
Now, the only challenge is exercise - not in effort or intensity, but in timing. I am trying to squeeze in my work-outs because of the abbreviated time frame. For some reason this unintended urgency leaves me missing out on the wonderful world of recovery. Dave Asprey would not approve of my actions!
I have been trying to push myself through my AMRAPs (see below) & have found myself to be more than a little flat.
25 - Body-weight Squats
10 - Push-ups
10 - Pull-ups
20 - Mountain Climbers
20 - 35lb Kettlebell Swings
Day 1 - 4 rounds plus Squats & Push-ups into my 5th - felt great!
Day 2 - Barely got through 4 rounds & really struggled to get 19 more Body Weight Squats in. I figured, ok, it was probably an off day, so I decided I'll just try harder on day 3.
Day 3 - Fail. I put everything I had in me to just get through what I accomplished on day 2. I was not happy & my body was really angry with me.
Day 4 - Rest Day. I mean, I REALLY did rest. I made sure I didn’t do anything physically strenuous & got over 8 hours of sleep. The guilt was slowly creeping in...
Day 5 - A mix of procrastination & overbooking came around & I was forced to rest again. Ugh, I'm feeling lazy...
Day 6 - I couldn’t believe what I was feeling: PROPER RECOVERY PAID OFF! On day 6 I cranked out 4 rounds & completed 3 more exercises into Pull-ups in my 5th round. Nice improvement!
Day 7- Rest Day. I'm physically & mentally preparing myself for the 2nd week of my 21-Day-Challenge.
I'm very motivated & eager to work at this; perseverance pays off everyone, I'll be ripped soon! You'll see!
