I hear this sometimes, along with whispers at the jeweler where I tried to get a resizing. Mmm... I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but it’s definitely a real Moissanite!
Most people have never heard of Moissanite or know what it is…
I would like to take this opportunity to mention & promote my beautiful Moissanite!
Quite a bit of time ago, I made sure to inform my now-fiancé that if he ever got me a diamond, I would say NO, haha.
After the COMPLETE surprise proposal last month & doing a little bit of the following: “Whaaattt? You’re crazy!” “Why didn’t you tell me?!” (Mind you, I was totally shocked & had no idea what was going on), eventually I asked: “Is it Moissanite?” I said yes before confirming the stone, but deep down I already knew it was :-)
( Like us on Facebook: Moissanite is a Girl’s Best Friend! )
Simple; because it’s better!
No really, here are the details:
· Moissanite is the 2nd runner up only on one scale: Hardness
Moissanite is the 2nd hardest gemstone on earth (diamond is 1st, a 10 on the hardness scale compared to Moissanite’s 9.25)
· No one in Africa has died for Moissanite (i.e. the Blood Diamond)
Not to mention the fact that Diamonds are just marketing & aren’t really all that rare.
· Price: Moissanite is on average about ¼ the cost of Diamond!
How great is that?! More money to keep & save up for a wedding.
· Women are able to get bigger, sparkly rocks!
Cuz that’s all us girls want anyway, right?
All in all, I am VERY happy with my Moissanite! I’ve done my research in the past, which obviously engulfed my decision long ago… but now that I’m getting questions on it & am given opportunities to spread the word about Moissanite, I’ve had to revisit the topic, which now makes me so appreciative & that much happier that Moissanite is what I ultimately got!
If you have ANY questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask!
