Here’s your reminder guide for reference: PALEO 21-DAY CHALLENGE
Answers to a few questions I've recently received:
Grits – hot cereal; porridge texture; definitely a comfort food… is it Paleo? The answer is no; it’s made from corn or sometimes even wheat; it’s highly processed & is considered a grain whether it came from either of these two sources. Although delicious (from what I remember), I would stay away from this.
Hot Chocolate – I’m talking about those instant powder mix packets that you mix with hot water… there’s regular & then there’s also the “no sugar added” version which people are convinced is healthier. The regular one is nothing but sugar.. oh and some corn syrup and artificial flavors. The no sugar added one is even worst, with artificial sweeteners on top of the already artificial flavors. Don’t do this to yourself, & just stay away altogether.
Tip: LOOK at the ingredients.
Not always do you know if something is Paleo/not - healthy/not – just by looking at the front label. Study the list of ingredients & pick out any red flags. If the ingredients list is really long, that’s already a red flag. Another sign is if there are many long words that you can’t even pronounce! This would hint of lots of chemicals & additives that you shouldn’t be feeding your body!
