The Primal Blueprint
This book is what really got me started. Author, Mark Sisson, REALLY knows how to explain every concept in depth in words that are almost too easy to understand. His writing is truly an art, & this book really helps grasp all ideas & explanations about the Paleo/Primal lifestyle.

The Difference: PALEO vs. PRIMAL
I personally consider myself more Primal; Primal has some key points that I have found to be beneficial in my life. There are definitely distinct differences between the two, although both are extremely similar. Both Paleo & Primal have the basic principle foundation - to eat the way our ancestors did 10,000+ years ago, avoiding grains, limiting processed/refined carbohydrates, & increasing proteins & vegetables.
The main differences are each one's take on dairy:
Paleo restricts dairy, while the Primal diet admits that not all dairy is bad. Primal allows the consumption of real, unprocessed, even raw dairy which shows to have many health benefits, but this after an elimination period and only if your body is okay with it.

I think both are extremely good options & are better than the Standard American Diet, so follow what resinates & works for you & alter however you like to fit your unique lifestyle.
